Dr Cathy Forman

Creature Calls Vet (BVSc Hons)

Hi, I’m Dr Cathy - I’ve been a vet for almost 30 years now. My experience as a Veterinary Surgeon has given me time to work out what’s important - which includes how precious the human animal bond is. I want to help you keep that connection healthy and relaxed in your home. I also care very much about practicing up to date evidence based medicine. For this reason I have undertaken extensive year long courses in Dermatology, Oncology and Small animal medicine as well as sitting for and passing Membership of the the Australian college of Veterinary scientists in Small animal internal medicine.

Lauren Lidgerwood

Creature Calls Veterinary Nurse

Lauren Lidgerwood, our nurse, has been an integral part of Creature Calls since the beginning, and is a very experienced and compassionate vet nurse. We worked together for around six years previously, and although our careers took different paths our friendship remained strong. Recently, when I decided that Creature Calls was my “calling”, Lauren offered her help.

Dr Shannon

Creature Calls Vet

I'm Dr Shannon and I have worked as a veterinary surgeon for the last 20 years.Originally hailing from Queensland, I made the move to Tasmania with my young family in 2016 having worked extensively throughout Australia and the UK prior to this. I have enjoyed being a part of Creature Calls with Dr Cathy since early 2024 and relish providing a much needed home-care service for the dogs, cats and people of southern Tasmania. To provide veterinary care in a relaxed home environment is not only convenient for owners but also reduces anxiety in many of our patients. As a veterinarian I have a strong interest in general medicine, managing the senior patient with multiple conditions, ensuring quality of life in our geriatric patients and assisting with end of life decision making. I look forward to meeting you and your lovely pets soon!

Kayrn

Creature Calls Veterinary Nurse

Karyn has been working in the veterinary industry for 18 years.  On top of her nursing studies she has also completed a reception certificate.  You will find her to be a compassionate, helpful and friendly voice on the end of the phone when you call. Karyn and Cath have worked together for 15 of her 18 working years so we almost know what the other is thinking!Karyn says: This is my first time working in a mobile vet practice and I'm loving it. I'm so lucky to be able to work alongside 2 amazing vets in Cathy and Shannon and feel privileged to meet such wonderful clients and their pets in their home environment. I’m looking forward to meeting many more. I’m a mum to 2 children and a fur mum to Harry the Labrador.
